Nature Talks - Conversations on our role in conservation, nature + protecting the environment for future generations 🌿

Good Day Deli is delighted to collaborate with Ray Foley, Environmental Officer with An Taisce (National Trust for Ireland) and Nano Nagle Place to offer a series of free talks by thought leaders on the environment every Tuesday evening from 29 Jan to 12 March.

If you’re ready to learn more about the environment and nature, to explore conservation in Ireland and abroad, are interested in understanding the role of farmland and native trees in Ireland’s future and you’re motivated to live more sustainably, these talks are the perfect way to start!

Nature Talks - It's Time We Listen 🌱 Kick off your Sustainable 2019 by joining us in conversations on our role in protecting the natural environment.

More details on each talk will follow + plenty of exciting developments underway!

These talks are free with 50 places on a first come basis. The talks will be held in Good Day Deli Garden Cafe, Cork City. Please access by coming to the Evergreen Street entrance of Nano Nagle Place from 6.30pm where you will be guided to the cafe. Coffee + cake will be available for purchase between 6.30pm and 7pm before the talks begin. Parking is available in and around Evergreen Street - there is no on site parking available for these talks.

Brunch at Good Day Deli + Gift A Native Tree 🌳🌿🌱🌳

Help us reach our aim to plant 400 trees with Hometree Moy hill community farm + Give a Gift to Nature this Christmas!

We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with Hometree to plant a tree per table over our busy brunches on Sunday 16 and Sun 23 Dec 🌳

You simply have brunch with us and we will gift a native tree on your behalf (see T+Cs below), with no additional costs to you.

Hometree is part of the inspiring Moy hill community farm Farm Initiative. They have 67 acres in Co Clare where they aim to plant 60,000 trees. Hometree are committed to planting trees to be enjoyed by all, humans and animals alike. Their motto is simple - #moretreesplease.

Hometree promise that the trees will not be sold or clear felled, instead just planting trees for the benefit of the natural environment + our future generations 🌳🌿🌱🌳

Their idea that we can create forests through commerce is totally aligned with our idea of protecting the natural environment with good food choices and conscious consumerism.

Help Good Day Deli reach our goal to plant 400 trees by brunching with us on Sundays in the run up to Christmas! If you’re up for it, you can also come and join us in Co. Clare and plant your tree on on Saturday 27 January!

As we all know, Christmas is a period of hyper consumerism with resulting impacts on natural resources. Let’s flip trend together + give back to nature!

T+C’s | Good Day Deli will plant a tree per receipt/table of two or more brunch menu items. As each tree will cost us €3 to plant, we will not be able to commit to planting a tree for a receipt for tea/coffee cakes etc. We appreciate your understanding!

We have been meeting so many super inspiring people these last few weeks. People who are passionate about sustainability and good food. We believe that it is so important to support their hard work and drive demand for sustainable food production systems.
